Walt & El Grupo (2008)

The film tells the story of 1941, when Walt Disney led a select group of artists and filmmakers to South America, where they lived for 10 weeks, under the call of ZF's good-neighborly policy. In the three years after the success of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Disney Company was plunged into a serious economic crisis, which led to a huge animator strike. During that period, the Roosevelt regime began to pay close attention to the development of the Nazis and the influence of fascists in Latin America, while other countries gradually fell into war. But even under such difficult conditions, Disney and his team felt hopeful about the future, passing through many South American cities, spending most of their time in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. In fact, this group bears an extraordinary responsibility. While collecting creative materials, they have to integrate themselves into local culture and customs, get along well with local artists, and meet local political leaders. Their team has become a mobile embassy. Later, the Disney Company created animated films "Saludos Amigos" and "three Rides."
