The story takes place in the small town of Huntington in West Virginia, where there is a Marshall University rugby team that makes the whole town proud and ranks at the top of the American college team. For a long time, the Marshall University rugby team has become a part of local history, and the indomitable sportsmanship of generations of players has been passed on in time and sweat. In 1970, a year that people didn't want to remember but couldn't forget, the Marshall University rugby team flew back to Huntington. On the way, a terrible air crash occurred, killing all 75 passengers, including team members, coaches and logistics. People were stunned by the bad news, and an atmosphere of sadness and depression quickly swept through the town. At this time, a football coach named Jack (Matthew McConaughey Matthew McConaughey) stood up, kind-hearted he could not bear to see the residents depressed, he decided to use his own strength to continue the glory of the Marshall rugby team.
