Malvinco, based on the 2010 documentary of the same name, tells the true story of Mark Hogancamp. The man fell into a nine-day coma after being beaten by five teenagers. When he woke up, he lost his memory. His life, friends and family remembered nothing. As a special treatment, Mark Hogancamp began creating a World War II Belgian town out of 1:6 model dolls in his backyard, which he called "Marwencol," using dolls to represent himself, his friends and those who beat him. Marvin Cole repaired Mark Hogancamp's mind to some extent, and at the same time allowed him to create a fantasy world. And the world can be seen by more people through the documentary released by Jeff Malmberg in 2010.
