Neal Caffrey (Matthew Bomo Matthew Bomer) is a handsome and charming criminal guru who was sent to prison by Peter Burke (Tim DeKay Tim DeKay), the FBI's arch-rival, four years ago for counterfeiting treasury bonds. Because of the sudden departure of his beloved Kate (Alexandra D'Addario Alexandra Daddario), Neal resolutely chose to escape on the eve of his release. Peter arrested Neal on the same day, adding another four years to Neal's sentence. Neal in order to be free and to find Kate as soon as possible, he successfully took advantage of his crime master to become a special adviser to FBI, and became a partner of arch-enemy Peter, the two work together to solve strange cases. Neal is restricted by wearing GPS anklets, so he secretly asks his old partner Mozzie (Willie Gasson Willie Garson) to help him find Kate. Confusing really want to slowly unfold, everything is full of the smell of conspiracy.
