Abby Dale (Nathan Fillion Nathan Fillion) used to have a happy family, but while a family of three were eating in a restaurant, they were attacked by a man with a gun. Abby's wife and son died on the spot, and the man then shot himself. Three months later, Abby was still unable to recover from the grief of losing his wife and children. when he was desperate, he chose to end his life. However, the creation made people, and Abby came back to earth again under the full rescue of the doctor. Soon after that, Abby found that he could hear some strange sounds and even see the white light flashing around some people. He finally found that all the people who glowed with white light were short-lived people. With this strange ability, he began to try to save the poor people who hovered at the door of death, but he soon realized that the procedure of death must not be changed at will, and he had to pay for it.
