Doug (Tim Allen) is a boring stay-at-home man who is looked down upon by his son after boredom at work; Bobby (Martin Lawrence Martin Lawrence) quit his job and wants to be a writer, but his wife taunts him for making no progress; Dudley (William H. Macy William H. Macy) is a software engineer and a standard geek otaku who doesn't have a girlfriend because he is afraid to talk to a woman. Woody (John Travolta John Travolta) is flirtatious for half his life, but now the company is facing bankruptcy and the model's wife is leaving him. Four old friends, with their own midlife crisis, embarked on a Harley trip at Woody's suggestion. Dressed in leather, headscarves, and dressed as unseemly "free riders," they began to travel through New Mexico, trying to find their lost selves, long-lost passions and joys in a journey full of circumstances and recklessness, and end their regrets in this life.
