Mike (Paul Giamatti Paul Giamatti) is a small-town lawyer who becomes his guardian when he fights a custody lawsuit for an elderly Alzheimer's man, Leo (Porter Young Burt Young). It's not enough to take care of the old man. Leo's grandson Kyle (Alex Schaefer Alex Shaffer) arrives unexpectedly. Because he is at odds with his drug-addicted mother, Mike's family has to take him in and arrange for him to study in a nearby high school. Mike also coached the high school wrestling team and soon found out that Kyle was a very talented wrestler. The situation seems to be a "win-win". Leo and Kyle are taken care of, and Mike has a main force in his team, with a monthly guardianship income of 1500 yuan to subsidize the family. But the balance was upset by the arrival of Kyle's mother Cindy (Melanie Linsky Melanie Lynskey), who wanted to take back custody of Leo.
