In the 1970s, the United States just abolished apartheid, but ethnic conflicts in the south are still very serious. Tony Nathan (Caleb Castile Caleb Castille), a talented football player from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, and other black classmates were unable to join the team because of racial conflict. Football coach Tandy (Nick Bishop Nic Bishop) is the first to form a mixed team of black and white students. Tandy believes that love and hope can unite the whole team, and the players, the whole school and the school teachers are gradually accepting his beliefs. The film is based on the true story of NFL legendary player Tony Nathan.
