Yashagaike (1979)

A long time ago, in remote mountain villages, night fork ponds on the mountains often burst their dikes and flooded the villagers. Finally, humans and the dragons in the pond reached an agreement, stipulating that human beings must ring the bell three times a day in the morning, noon and evening, so that the water in the night fork pool will not wreak havoc. This legend is handed down from generation to generation. In modern times, only one old man is still sticking to the legend and ringing the bell on time. On his deathbed, the old man entrusted the task of ringing the bell to the young man who escaped from the urban civilization. Ogihara and his wife Lily guarded here and lived a simple and happy life.
