In an accident, the plane on which the Powell family crashed into the Amazon jungle, the miraculously unharmed family returned home only to find that their lives had completely changed as a result of the accident. The very cowardly Jim (Michael Checkles Michael Chiklis) finds himself extremely strong, while Jim's wife Stephanie (Julie Benz Julie Benz) has the ability to move as fast as lightning. Mr. and Mrs. Powell are not the only ones who have changed. Their daughter Daphne (Kay Panabaker Kay Panabaker) has become a mind reader who can read other people's minds, and his always slow and clumsy son, Kiki (Jimmy Bennett Jimmy Bennett), has made great strides in IQ.
