Jacob Slatter plays drummer Paul Cook, Fabian Frankel (Viper) plays bassist Glenn Matlock, Dylan Llewellyn (Delhi Girl) plays Wally Nightingale, one of the former members of Riverside, and Macy Williams (Game of Thrones) plays punk idol Jordan. Anson Boone (forgiveness) plays musician John Leighton and Sydney Chandler (Dear Don't worry) as rock musician Clichy Hyde. The play is based on Jones's memoir, Lonely Boy: the Story of the Sex Pistol, and Boyle will also act as a producer.
