Jimmy (Lucas Neve Lucas Neff) doesn't have a real job. He doesn't have a house, so he can only huddle with his mother Virginia (Martha Plimpton Martha Plimpton) and father Burt (Garrett Delahut Garret Dillahunt). Unwittingly encounter the beautiful Lucy (Biyou Phillips Bijou Phillips), the two fall in love at first sight. But Jimmy soon discovered that Lucy was a felon at large and was arrested by the police soon after. A few months later, Jimmy visited her in prison, only to find that Lucy had given birth to her own daughter. Lucy will soon be executed, and the task of raising children falls unshirkably on Jimmy. At a loss, Jimmy had to take his daughter home, but his family did not show any affection for the little guy. For the already troubled Chance family, the unexpected appearance of a new family member added to their headache.
