In the era of slavery in ancient Rome, Spartacus (Andy Whitefield Andy Whitfield), who was born in Tres, was a powerful and valiant warrior in the Roman auxiliary army, but became a slave because he rebelled against Roman officers. After a cruel test of life and death, he is bought by Batiatus (John Hannan John Hannah) and trained as a gladiator to lick blood. In order to regain his freedom and return to his beloved wife Sura (Ilre Cummings Erin Cummings), Spartacus has to pick up a butcher's knife and walk into the bloody Colosseum. The King Warrior Crixus (Mono Bennet Manu Bennett), a king warrior who is also an enemy and a friend, indulges greedy nobles and dignitaries, as well as evil plots and activities, controlling the fate of Spartacus. The film won the 2011 American Academy of Science Fiction and Horror Film Academy Award for Best supporting Actress in TV (Lucy Lawless).
