CBS All Access is bidding directly for the series "Tell Me a Story" developed and written by Kevin Williamson, the creator of "The Vampire Diaries". This series is adapted from the Spanish drama of the same name, which re-adapts various famous fairy tales and then transforms them into a dark, twisted psychological thriller, which is now scheduled to be launched on Halloween (October 31), U.S. time. The first season of the 10 episodes directed by Liz Friedlander is set in modern New York City. The plot will merge "The Three Little Pigs","Little Red Riding Hood" and "Candy House Hansel and Gretel" into stories that include themes such as love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.
