The show, an orthodox prequel to Sex and the City, depicts one of them, Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Rob AnnaSophia Robb), who was in high school in Manhattan in the 1980s. Carrie's sister Dorrit (Stephanie Owen Stefania Owen) is a 14-year-old rebellious girl who dyes her hair, is arrested and is good at acting, but all she does is to get attention and increase her influence. Carrie's oldest friend Maggie (Katie Findley Katie Findlay) is the daughter of the local sheriff, a typical small-town girl who is eager to leave town and go out one day. Carrie's best friend Jill (King Ellen Wong) is loyal to Carrie, sunny and pragmatic. All this peace is broken after the handsome Sebastian (Austin Butler Austin Butler) arrives at school.
