BBC Two has confirmed a reservation for the comedy "Upstart Crow," written by Ben Elton, which focuses on the life of William Shakespeare and will be broadcast by BBC as part of the 2016 Shakespeare Festival. David Mitchell will play the early Shakespeare; he will also play Harry Enfield, Paula Wilcox, Liza Tarbuck and Gemma Whelan. Part of the story line will come from Shakespeare's inspiration. Elton said: "I tried to tell the story from Shakespeare's point of view. I even wrote the script with a pen made of a chicken feather. I haven't changed my underwear for a year."
