As a result of her husband's accidental death, single mother Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise Parker Mary-Louise Parker) becomes a single mother with two children under her knee. She can't find a job that can support a family of three. In order to support her family, she chooses to sell marijuana in the rich area where she lives.
