In the northernmost polar circle of Alaska, the remote town of Barrow has 30 days of polar night every year. The people of the town will endure a long night before they can see again. When another polar night comes, the arrival of a strange tramp (played by Ben Foster) breaks the quiet life of the town. Town sheriff Ibne (Josh Hartnett) gets it, 20 vampires, headed by the tough and cunning Marlowe (Danny Halston), will attack the town, and disaster is imminent for residents who have not migrated to the south. Ibne, the head of a town, is ordered to lead the town's remaining old, weak, sick and violent vampires, Zhou Xuan, and the relationship between him and his wife Stella (Melissa George) is on the verge of falling apart. With all the problems piling up, can Ibne accomplish this almost impossible task?
