Lola (Linda Darnell Linda Darnell) marries her boss Porter (Paul Douglas Paul Douglas). After marriage, Lola discovers that Porter's vows to him are all lies, but he treats himself as a cash cow. Rita (Jenny Crane Jeanne Crain) is much stronger, earning so much money from screenwriting that she is about to catch up with her husband George (Kirk Douglas Kirk Douglas). Lola (Linda Darnell Linda Darnell) has extraordinary beauty, but still lives in doubt and confusion. One day, when three wives were having a picnic with their children, an unwritten letter arrived unexpectedly from a woman named Eddie (Celeste Holm Celeste Holm). The letter said that she was about to leave with the husband of one of the three wives, but the three women did not know who had been betrayed.
