A Scene at the Sea (1991)

Deaf-mute youth Mao (Makagi Tibetan) is a cleaner who finds a dilapidated surfboard thrown away while cleaning the garbage. After picking it up and repairing it, he takes his girlfriend Keiko (Hiroko Oshima) to the seaside to practice. Guizi is also deaf-mute. Mao developed from a love of surfing to an obsession. He went to the beach to practice as soon as he got off work, while Keiko always sat on the beach and looked at him with a smile. Day after day, Mao's technology is getting better and better. The owner of the surf shop gave Mao a diving suit and gave him an application form for the surfing competition. On the day of the competition, Mao and Keiko went to the seaside excitedly, but failed to participate in the competition because of accident. But Mao's love of surfing continued, and Keiko supported him as always, and in later competitions, Mao won. A few days later, Mao went to the seaside to practice again. Keiko came late because of something, but he didn't see Mao, and there was a silent sea in front of him.
