A Time to Live and a Time to Die (1985)
Under the seemingly calm days, the family who moved from the mainland to Taiwan had their own thoughts. Grandmother (Tang Ruyi) is obsessed with the mainland and wants to go back; although her father (Tian Feng) and mother (Mei Fang) also have the embarrassment of being a "mainlander", they also know that going back to the mainland is just a dream; my sister (Xiao Ai) almost regards herself as a native of Taiwan. occasionally she burst into tears because she thought of giving up college to share the burden for her parents. The child, Ah Hsiao-goo (you Anshun), only thought about how he had a good time and had no idea of the mainland at all, but he suddenly didn't feel too sad about his father's death. However, because of the special nature of the family, he knows that he is not exactly the same as his peers. Although on the surface he does what most growing boys do (fight around and start to like a girl), he has planted the seeds of sudden fission, just waiting for an opportunity to come.
