In a noisy and hurried corner of the city, an ordinary woman's temple (Ando Sakura) sleeps all day long. She has been dating Yan Yong (Jing Puxin), whom she met in the workplace a long time ago. Yan Yong is a married man, his wife has been lying in bed for years as a vegetable, the gentleness of her relatives makes him unable to leave, and his desire for love and freedom has kept him in such an inextricable love with the temple for many years. The monotonous temple in the social circle used to have a good friend named Shizhi (played by Miyue Tanimura). Shizhi repeatedly lodged in a friend's home after graduation, and later engaged in a strange business of sleeping with others, but eventually committed suicide without knowing why, which puzzled the temple. Guilt, embarrassment, longing, fatigue, Terazi and Iwanyong barely maintain the current relationship, unwittingly she lost her way in her sleep. This film is based on a short story of the same name published by Banana Yoshimoto in 1989. "an experience" with "the Night and the Night Traveller" and called the "Sleep Trilogy".
