Bill (Michael Michael Sheen) and Kate (Maria Bello Maria Bello) have been married for many years, raising their son Sam (Kyle Garner Kyle Gallner), spending their days in peace and tranquillity. What never occurred to the couple was that Sam, who had been clever all the time, had committed a shooting on campus. In the face of the bloody reality, the family collapsed. Bill and Kate couldn't figure out what the problem was, so they had to pass the buck to each other and both fell into despair. Criticism from the outside world, harassment from the media, various contradictions and misunderstandings accumulated between husband and wife over the years, all of which pushed the family to an irreparable situation, at this juncture, Bill and Kate woke up and decided to stop fighting trapped animals and join hands to face the bleak future.
