Beneath Still Waters (2005)

1965, northern Spain. In order to promote the development of the local economy, the government has built the Dibaria Dam at the request of the residents of the small town of Mariambe, when nearby towns will be submerged. Two naughty boys Theo (Santiago Pasaglia) and Louis (Omar Mu ñ oz) sneak into the quarantine, and in a weird house, they find a group of strange people performing horrible rituals. Theo was killed and Louis ran away in a hurry. As the town sank to the bottom, it was forgotten. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary celebration of the Dabaria Dam, young Antonio (Dami à Plensa) has an accident while swimming with his girlfriend Suzanne (Pilar Soto) and Clara (Charlotte Salt). As the police launched a large-scale search, the town that had been sleeping at the bottom of the lake for 40 years and its secrets that could be hidden began to recover slowly. This film is based on the original work of Matthew Costolo (Matthew Costello) of the same name.
