Bodi (Matthew Modean Matthew Modine) is a child who lives in fantasy since childhood. He always yearns for the life of birds. He envies that they have wings to fly. He is also happy to make wings and fantasize about flying into the sky one day. The outbreak of the Vietnam War interrupted the dreams of teenagers. The cruel scenes on the battlefield greatly stimulated the fragile Bodi, finally lost his mind, became a "mental patient" in the practical sense, and was sent to the hospital. In the hospital, he never spoke, squatted in the posture of a bird every day, ate in the way of a bird, and looked at a small blue sky in the cage and longed for flying. In order to treat Bodi, the hospital brought in his childhood friend Al (Nicholas Cage Nicolas Cage), hoping he could guide him to re-communicate with people.
