The plot tells the story of Sister Krota of the Kolkata Monastery in Kolkata, India, who was transferred to become the abbot of the Napu Monastery, which is windy all the year round on a mountain 8000 feet above sea level in northern India. Krota set up schools and hospitals, and even the little general came to be educated. Although Krota worked hard and managed in an orderly way, the young nuns relied entirely on self-discipline in the remote mountains, and their spirit was challenged by the beautiful environment. Under constant temptation, those who could not control had to give up their priesthood. Among them, as the wise man said, only saints and laymen can survive-because living in nature can only be self-cultivation or drift with the tide. Later, the infant died of illness and Sister Ruth fell into a deep valley because of love and hate and wanted to kill the abbot. Krota also left the Knapp Monastery to heal the scars in her heart. Director Michael Powell, this film shows the indisputable fact that human nature can be changed under the influence of the environment. When human nature is fragile, it can not resist the pressure brought by the environment and the self-control of resisting the influence of the external environment. The film shows the subtle activities of the characters' inner struggles, and the actors interpret the angles of various roles.
