When William Wallace was a child, his father, Scottish national hero Marceau Wallace, was killed in the struggle with the British, and he began to receive guidance from his father's friends to learn Scottish culture and martial arts. Young Wallace (Mel Gibson) went back to his hometown and proposed to the beautiful girl Mellon, who didn't want Mellon to be robbed and killed by the British. In the voice of the villagers "after the hero", Wallace led the uprising and formed an alliance with the Scottish aristocrat Rob, but he soon discovered that the Scottish aristocracy was only thinking about his own interests.
