Buoyancy (2019)

The chakra is 14 years old and leads an exhausted life. He, his parents and many of his siblings work together in the rice fields of Cambodia. At dinner, they sat around the wooden table in the cabin, and father and son always disagreed. When a friend told Chakra about the possibility of making money in the factory, the boy decided to set out on his own. But on the way, he fell into the clutches of human trafficking and was sold as slaves. On the Thai fishing boat where he must now work, the captain's regime is cruel and arbitrary. Violence, torture and even murder are the top priorities of today's society. The chakra realized that his only hope was to get rid of his tormentors. Rod Lashkin's first feature film is a cruel and realistic portrayal of the situation of forced workers in Cambodia. The Australian director's method is far from beautiful enough that no one can be spared.
