Colette (2013)

The film is based on Rustig's novel A Girl from Antwerp. In 1973, Willie Fred, a Czech Jewish writer living in New York, knew that his son's girlfriend's mother had also been imprisoned in Auschwitz. Father and son visited each other, and Willie met Klaette Cohen, a concentration camp lover who had been searching for 30 years. Willie's memory floodgates were opened again. In July 1943, Willie was transferred to the Auschwitz Beenau concentration camp, and soon Klaette, a Belgian Jewish girl, was also sent by train. Willie told Klaette who had just got off on the train platform to call himself a machinist, which kept Klaette from entering the gas chamber. Later, Klaette was assigned to check the valuables hidden in Jewish clothes; Willie used the opportunity to deliver clothes to secretly pass food and medicine in the camp, and the two quickly fell in love with each other because of their common fate. Vijesk, commander of the Birkenau concentration camp, was so ferocious that he easily opened fire and killed him on the spot. He also targeted Klaette and possessed her with both hard and soft tactics.
