Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)

In Brittany, France, in 1760, a talented young female painter Marianne (Nomi Melante) was commissioned to complete a pre-marriage portrait of Miss Eloise (Adela Hanel) without the other's knowledge. The two depended on each other on an isolated island. During the day, the female painter quietly observed the young lady's every move, and only in the evening did she indulge in writing. Under the close contact between the two painting and being painted, even in the era full of moral bondage, they gradually sprouted the ambiguous feelings of taboo. As the wedding day approached, their love became more and more intense.
