Sarah, who was still in high school, was at a low ebb when she ran away from home only to find that she had no one to rely on and suffered from recurrent terrible nightmares. Fortunately, there happens to be a university doing sleep research, Sarah can not only sleep safely, but also get paid, and more unexpectedly become bosom friends with the scientist in charge of the experiment, Jeremy (Langton Leiberon). Participating in the experiment made Sarah's nightmares more intense, and the shadow creatures in the dreams seemed to be more powerful. As the pace of darkness gets closer and closer, Sarah has unwittingly become a terrible newly discovered connecting pipe.
