Marquis Mettey (Glenn Cross Glenn Close) and the notorious flashy prodigal son Valmont (John Markovich John Malkovich) are two friends who can compete in love, using sex as a weapon to destroy each other's reputation and status. One day, Meteyi proposed to let Valmont seduce the 16-year-old aristocratic girl Cecil (Umatherman U ma Thurman), so that he lost his virginity and lost his reputation. Valmont thought it was so unchallenging that he not only seduced the pure Cecil. Additional bets are added to seduce Mrs. Duville, who is pious, beautiful and known for her chastity (Michelle Pfeiffer Michelle Pfeiffer). At last Madame Duville fell in his arms, and Valmont fell in love with Duville. Metei is jealous and asks her music teacher and new lover, Donny (Keanu Reeves Keanu Reeves), to avenge her. As a result, Valmont is killed by the sword in a duel with Downey, and Duville is heartbroken to death, and Metey's reputation is tarnished.
