K tried to achieve his goal through Clem's mistress Frida. He had a relationship with Frida and was engaged. K talked with the village head about the origin of his job, and because the village head got a job in the school, he and Frida temporarily had a place to live. K's visit to Barnabe's house again caused Frida's despair, and his hope of entering the castle was still slim. This film is based on Kafka's novel of the same name.
