The story follows a girl from upper class Brooklyn, Danny (Alexandra Shipp), who resists her parents 'arrangement of her destiny, a life that was originally her own. Her parents forced her to attend a college in Atlanta so she could become their cash cow. Danny's pursuit is to become the first female drummer in school history.
