The Austrian actress Heidi Rama (then stage name Heidi Gisler), who was in her twenties, plays a young wife Eve who marries her husband and secretly falls in love with the strange young knight Adam because she can't get sexual satisfaction. finally, her husband couldn't stand it and committed suicide. This film won the best director award at the second Venice Film Festival. although it is a recognized art film, it has been banned in the United States because there are a large number of nudity scenes in the film. Heidi was young and ignorant at the mercy of the director, and performed some nudity and passion scenes, including naked swimming in the lake, streaking in the woods, and the expression of "ecstasy" when making out with young knights, which was quite bold in the 1930s. fortunately, the director also used a lot of symbolic descriptions to make the film as elegant and poetic as possible, and the leading actors and actresses were named Adam and Eve.
