In 1939, as the three-year Spanish Civil War drew to a close, the right-wing fascists were in the limelight. Left-wing war orphan Carlos (Fernando Tiffany Fernando Tielve) is sent to an orphanage in the wilderness by his father's comrades-in-arms. The orphanage is run by the stern Ms. Carmen (Marissa Perez Marisa Paredes) and the kind Professor Casarez (Federico Luppi). The frustration that Carlos left his relatives and uncles did not last long, and he soon integrated into a large family full of peers. However, there may have been some anomalies in the middle of the courtyard where the shells were inserted. The No. 12 bed where Carlos slept belonged to a child named Sandy, who died mysteriously not long ago. The ghost of the little boy has been appearing ever since Carlos came.
