Europa Europa (1990)

Based on Solly Perel's real experience, the film tells the amazing story of a 13-year-old German Jewish boy Solly, who was born on the same birthday as Hitler, saved his life and was finally reunited with his brother in a concentration camp through resourcefulness and unique coincidence during World War II. In the film, the young Solly is a member of the Communist Youth League of the Soviet Union, a German war hero, a member of Hitler's youth team, and even falls in love with a pure Aryan girl, but the special Jewish symbol, circumcision, reminds him of his identity all the time. From indifference, confusion to resentment, the war put on him too much pressure out of proportion to his age, but in the end he still identified with his own nation and did not hesitate to circumcise his son in adulthood.
