On the way back to visit his mother's grave, Shinji (voiced by Huimi Ogata) and Miyagi Meri (voiced by Sanshi) are attacked by the seventh apostle, and at a critical moment, plane 2 defeats its opponent. Shinji also got to know the operator of plane 2, Bo Asuka Langley (voiced by Yuko Miyamura). Unlike the reticent Ayanami Rei (voiced by Heimei Lin), Asuka is confident and even arrogant, making a lot of jokes with Shinji. The three of them were flying plane zero, number one and plane two respectively, resisting the fierce attack of the eighth apostle. In the process, a touch of affection quietly sprouted in the hearts of the three young men and women. Soon after, the ninth and tenth apostles came one after another, and Shinji faced the cruel test of life and death. This film is the second of the four songs in the new theatre version of the Evangelical Warriors.
