Before introducing this film, we need to talk about some history first. The Mercury Project is the earliest manned space program in the United States, and the first manned space flight was on May 5, 1961. In the previous two years, NASA tested the unmanned Mercury spacecraft several times. The last test flight was at the end of January 1961, when the passenger was Ham the chimpanzee, and the ship flew 700km across the Atlantic. There were several minor problems during the flight, but Ham narrowly escaped death and landed at sea. Later, NASA never asked Ham to board the ship again. The story of this film has to start with the brave chimpanzee astronaut Ham. In order to take advantage of the reputation of the Ham family, a senator brought in Ham's grandson, the stupid gorilla Ham III, and put him and his two ape companions on a state-of-the-art spaceship to travel through a wormhole to a strange planet. There, Ham III met a tyrant and embarked on a wonderful journey.
