Frankenstein is based on a 1984 short film of the same name made by Bolton and is the first Disney animation co-produced by Bolton. The film is shot in black and white and will be converted into 3D later. In order to match the plot, more than 200 puppets and props are produced. The little boy was very sad after his dog, Sparky, was hit by a car. In school class, when the teacher did the experiment of electric shock to make the frog's nerves twitch, he had the inspiration to save his puppy. So at night, he drew lightning from the sky to shock the dog's body and brought it back to life. The reborn puppy frightened the boy's neighbors, who regarded the dog as a monster. When the neighbors chased the dog, they forced the dog and the boy into a cabin and almost burned them to death. But the puppy rescued the boy and died. The neighbors and the boy's parents were moved and determined to save it again. They used car engines to generate electricity and once again saved the dog.
