Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998)

The story takes place in the 16th century. Danielle (Drew Barrymore Drew Barrymore) has been dependent on her father since childhood, but her father died in an accident after her father married her stepmother Romilla (played by Angelica Houston Anjelica Huston). Danielle became Cinderella, but still strong, independent and loving life. By coincidence, Danielle meets French Prince Henry (Dougray Scott Dougray Scott) and saves the prince's life from the Greenwood Bandit. The two fall in love with each other, and the prince wants to refuse the political marriage arranged for her. But when the stepmother learns all this, she deliberately wants her eldest daughter Margaret (Megan Doz Megan Dodds) to marry the prince and falsely claims that Danielle is just a maid. The prince listened to his stepmother's lies and angrily gave up Danielle.
