In the 1930s, the American economy was in a great depression and the market was deserted. Housewife Cecilia (Mya Farrow Mia Farrow) deals with a dreary waitress job during the day (which he soon lost because of the economic collapse) and her boring husband at night. As an avid fan, she goes to the cinema every day to watch a movie called Cairo Violet. She is so familiar with her lines that she can remember that there is no recession in the movie, but the banquet and amusement of the upper class in the movie. This day a strange thing happened, the hero Tom (Jeff Daniels Jeff Daniels) came down from the screen! Go straight to Cecilia and elope with her. And the characters in the film also followed the discussion, the plot did not follow the plot, but turned into a discussion. Cecilia and Tom went to the amusement park and talked to each other. Although it was romantic at first, it later found that it could not fill the stomach. Gil (Jeff Daniels Jeff Daniels), who played the leading actor Tom in reality, also appeared in order to win the heart of Cecilia and compare it with Tom.
