Father of a Soldier (1964)

Farmer Giorgi Maharashvili received a letter from his son Gao Jierji in the army, saying that he had been admitted to the rear hospital because of his injuries. So he decided to visit his son. By the time he got to the military hospital, the son had already returned to the army. The Don decided to go to his son's army. In the process of looking for his son, he involuntarily took part in the battle, and finally gave up the idea of going home and joined the army. When the Soviet soldiers destroyed the enemy and rushed into the building, the son had fallen in a pool of blood. He held his dying son in his arms. Father and son finally saw each other for the last time. The film won the Best Actor Award at the fourth Moscow International Film Festival and the Lenin Prize in 1966.
