Fiennes: Return to the Nile (2019)
Joseph Fiennes will shoot three episodes of National Geographic documentary "Fiennes: Return to the Nile" with his uncle, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the world's top explorer and the first person to hike across Antarctica (along with Mike Stroud). Uncle and nephew join hands to explore the Nile and return to the way Ranulph Fiennes followed the White Nile 50 years ago. He drove a hovercraft from Alexandria in the Mediterranean to Lake Victoria, the source of the Nile. Now it's my cousin Joseph's turn to explore, and the show will see if he can do it and whether he has the potential to become an explorer. On the way, they will also experience a newly discovered tomb in Minya, Egypt, about 2000 years ago, as well as Tachtib, a traditional local trick to deal with snakes and spiders. It will be broadcast on National Geographic in 2019.
