The concert special also set a record for HBO in cable network history (21.4% of viewership, 34% of households). Michael was awarded the Cable TV Outstanding Award (Cable Ace Award) for this. The October 1, 1992 Bucharest concert was broadcast on radio and television in 61 countries around the world.
