Missionaries play an important role in the spread of Western civilization. "God cares for Uganda" records that the American Christian Church not only exported modern civilization to Uganda, but also brought homophobic intolerance to this barren land. Churches build local schools and hospitals, but they also spread the terrible idea of "eliminating homosexuality", and they are consciously transforming Uganda into a fundamentalist Christian country. Roger Ross Williams, the director of "God loves Uganda," won an Oscar for best documentary short film in 2010 for "Music of Prudence," which has been shortlisted for the top 15 documentaries at next year's Oscars. ◎ QAF
