In 1945, the second World War was coming to an end, and Japan, as an important member of the axis of evil, was running out of arrogance. That year, the Battle of Okinawa, which decided the course of the war, began, and thousands of high-spirited American soldiers were sent to Okinawa, and what was waiting for them was the hacksaw Ridge, which was heavily guarded by the enemy and extremely dangerous. Among the group, there was a military doctor who was unwilling to take up arms. His name is Desmond Dawes (Andrew Garfield Andrew Garfield) and he is from Virginia, USA. At the outbreak of the Pacific Ocean, the emaciated Desmond volunteered to be a life-saving military doctor and enlisted. But because of his childhood and family reasons, he was always unwilling to pick up the gun to practice, so he would rather be court-martialed for refusing to perform military service. After many twists and turns, Desmond finally came to Hacksaw Ridge with his comrades. There was a hail of bullets, and countless people fell to the ground in an instant. Supported by faith and belief, Desmond saved dozens of dying lives on his own. This film is based on a true story.
