Hamlet, the son of the late president of a large company in New York, Denmark, was determined to avenge his father when his father's ghost told Hamlet the truth about his murder by his brother Claudius. Hamlet is Shakespeare's most famous tragedy and has been put on the screen many times. Among them, the 1948 version directed by Oliver Lawrence was the most successful, winning five Oscars that year, including best picture. The millennium version of Hamlet, led by independent producer and director Mike Almred, once again accepted the challenge of low-cost production.
