The story takes place in 1563 in France, where a long and fierce war broke out between Protestants and Catholics. Henry (Julian Boiseler Julien Boisselier), as a Protestant leader, needs to resist the powerful Empress Dowager Catherine (Sandra Wheeler Sandra H ü ller).
