After 15 years of hard work for the company, Henry (Jean-Pierre L é aud) ends up being fired. Full of resentment, he also hit a brick wall everywhere in his life, and in despair, he thought of suicide. However, no matter what method he used, he could not succeed in dying. Just then, he saw in the newspaper a tavern full of gangsters and killers, and he decided to give it a try. Henry hires a killer (Kenneth Cowley Kenneth Colley) to take his own life, but after that, Henry accidentally meets a beautiful flower girl named Marguerite (Margi Clarke), and the two quickly fall in love. Life has a meaning to go on, Henry does not want to die, however, he can not find the original contract with the killer, which means that from now on, he may be assassinated at any time.
